Mediumship Readings
Mediumship is the process of making a connection with individuals who have passed. Mediums are sometimes called intuitive mediums, psychic mediums or spiritual mediums. For more information, see Mediumship.
Evidence-based mediums, sometimes called evidential mediums, specialize in passing along specific information from those who have passed, usually details that couldn’t possibly be known by the medium herself. This helps raise your confidence level and also confirms the identities of the individuals making a connection. Evidential mediums typically request that you avoid giving them any facts ahead of time, so that you can feel confident about the source of the information.
Although it’s tempting to provide background and offer some context for your reading, it’s better to remain silent. Avoid giving information both before and during the reading. If you’re asked a question, just answer with a "Yes," "No," or "I don’t know." Allow your loved ones to guide the experience and provide all the details. For additional information, see How to Prepare.
You aren’t required to bring anything special to a reading. However, you might want to have some tissues handy, and a way to take a few notes about what’s happening, so you can review the reading later. You can also bring a few items that you associate with the individuals you’re hoping to hear from. For more specifics, see How to Prepare.
Unfortunately, we on this side can’t really make requests of that sort, or make a “phone call” to a specific individual. Sometimes, having an item with you that belongs to a particular person might draw that individual’s energy to the reading, but there aren’t any guarantees. It’s best to have an open mind and trust that those who do come through are the individuals you were meant to connect with. For additional information, see What to Expect.
The individuals you’re connecting with won’t necessarily answer specific questions. Allow them to take the lead in providing information and knowing what would be most helpful for you to hear. Also, keep in mind that those on the other side don’t always gain universal insight and wisdom, so the usefulness of any advice you might receive from a particular individual will probably be limited by that person’s own life experience.
Mediumship is a very consoling experience, but it can’t replace the natural process of grieving, which can take some time. The waiting period varies a great deal from person to person. Try to move through the initial grieving period as best you can, and decide for yourself when you’re ready for a reading.
You can participate in mediumship readings as often as you like, so long as it doesn’t become a kind of dependency. If you’re moving ahead with your life in a positive, healthy way, there really isn’t any set minimum or maximum. Feel free to decide what works for you.
Psychic Readings
A psychic is an individual who receives information in ways that are considered to be beyond ordinary intelligence and everyday sense experience. It’s widely believed that most people have various levels of psychic ability. People who refer to themselves as “psychics” often have been aware of these abilities from early childhood, and have cultivated their abilities in order to become more skillful and to use their talents to help others. Psychics are sometimes called clairvoyants, telepaths, or intuitives. For more information, see Psychic Readings.
You’re welcome to ask questions about relationships, travel, work, and other conventional matters. You can also inquire about more general issues, such as your overall life path or spiritual questions. Keep in mind, though, that this isn’t a “fortune-telling” reading, and isn’t intended to provide suggestions like stock market tips or clinical medical advice. Also, the guidance you receive relates to your current life trajectory. Things can change. If you make different life choices, your future might look different, also. For additional information, see How to Prepare.
You’ll likely receive information closely related to the questions you’ve presented, but not necessarily exactly as you expected. It’s best to keep an open mind, and trust that what you learn in the reading is what you really need to know, even if your thoughts hadn’t originally been moving in that direction. To learn more, see What to Expect.
Many psychics can see into the future, but along your current life path only. This means that what they’re seeing might change if certain actions occur at any point along that path. A psychic reading helps you understand where you’re headed at this time, so that you can make beneficial choices that will either enhance or possibly alter future events.
You can have psychic readings as often as you like, so long as you don’t become dependent on them to the point where you can’t make decisions independently. Readings can be a useful supplement to your life when you’re able in general to move forward on your own.
